Dear Editor, Sen. John F. Kerry is more electable then Howard Dean? Who would've known? Well, the pundits of course. After a careful review of the potential candidates, I threw my early support behind Dr. Howard Dean. I concluded that Gov. Dean was the only candidate who could beat George Bush. Thanks in part to the national media's negative coverage of Dean and positive coverage of the other candidates (see Center for Media and Public Affairs www.cmpa.com). Dean failed to win the early primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire. Those that have been following the Democratic debates from the beginning know that the other three serious remaining candidates (Kerry, Edwards, and Clark) have been copying Dean's positions on a number of fronts. The process of electing our nominee for president is far from over. Dean currently has 113 pledged delegates compared to Kerry's 94. This race has just begun. I've reassessed the candidates, yet I continue to strongly support Howard Dean. I hope that the voters will take five steps back, take a careful look, give an honest assessment based upon their own judgments, and throw their weight where they believe it most fits.
