Liberate Marijuana!!

RECEIVED Wed., Aug. 20, 2003

There are serious concerns facing our country today. Terrorism, cyber threats, and the energy crisis are all critical issues that demand resources from our law enforcement officers and taxpayers. The federal government should direct its attention to addressing these concerns, instead of continuing the unnecessary and cruel arrests of nonviolent marijuana smokers and medical patients.
The recent electrical failure in the Northeast is an excellent example of emergency priorities. If our nation's law enforcement officers are focused on imprisoning marijuana smokers, they will be unable to assist others in matters of national security. Marijuana does not pose a threat to our nation, our citizens, our health, or our financial responsibilities. To treat individuals with debilitating illnesses as criminals is not only vicious and demoralizing, but is also an extreme waste of time and money.
Urge your representative in Congress to co-sponsor HR 2233, the States' Rights to Medical Marijuana Act, by sending him/her a letter today.
