Austin Toros Player Tryouts

What does it take to become a professional basketball player? Perhaps next week we can shine some light on this question as I'll be participating in the open tryouts for the Austin Toros taking place this Saturday at the Cedar Park Center.

For Austin-area players, it will give some the opportunity to live out a dream. As one of those local ballers, I will be taking my talents to the Cedar Park Center, and although I'm the definition of "long shot," my chance at greatness is right there, like everybody else. Look for my inside report next week.

Sat., Oct. 8, 9am-3pm. Concordia University Gym, 11400 Concordia University Dr. $150-175. www.nba.com/dleague/austin.
