Big times for flat-track fans: While this weekend's East Coast Derby Extravaganza massed meeting of rollergirls may seem like a dream come true, there's more fantasy Roller Derby to come, right here in Austin.

On September 1, the Texecutioners will be playing host to the Detroit Derby Girls: But what about the players not on the traveling team? Well, here's your opportunity to get them off the bench. The Texas Rollergirls have announced the Clash of the Midsummer Night's Dream Teams contest. Picking from the rest of the roster not busy against Detroit, fans can select teams to compete in a 30-minute expo bout. They pick the team lineup (even down to recommended packs), team theme, and even their name. It's an opportunity to set teammate against teammate, or speed against strength, or even right-handers against southpaws, if that piques your interest.

Download the entry form here, or enter online. The winning entry will be announced at the championship bout on August 3. Entry fee is $5 and, fyi, TXRG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.
