Luis Buñuel's "Illusion Travels by Streetcar" by Dick Price

Songwriter Dick Price riffs on Illusion Travels by Streetcar

Luis Buñuel's

Who needs to make the actual movie when you have a title this good? That's what I said about Illusion Travels by Streetcar when writing a preview piece a few weeks ago about Cine las Americas' Luis Buñuel en México film series. Well, what about a song?

My friend, songwriter Dick Price, authored a tune many years back that's also called "Illusion Travels by Streetcar" and is based on Buñuel's film. Dick does that a lot – write songs based on movies. You can listen to his tribute to "Illusion" by clicking above. You can find some more of his tunes here. Illusion Travels by Streetcar screens tonight at 8pm at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
