It's a tried and true formula for video-game (not to mention movie) success: the more explosions the better. The endgame to this theory – created by local game developer Twisted Pixel and downloadable from Xbox Live Arcade – is easily worth $10 bucks. What's better, next week you can get ’Splosion Man at half price.
When the folks at local development studio Twisted Pixel jokingly began tossing around an idea for a game starring a character made completely of explosions you know they were on to something.
That's right, ’Splosion Man (note the missing initial letters and then note how fun it is to say). And actually it has been reduced to 400 Microsoft Points (don't get me started on gamer currency). But here in the nonvirtual world that amounts to $5. Exchange some adult money for play points and ’splode yourself sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6.
