A Sweet & Fitting Memorial
Honored with a memorial fund in her name, trans- and feminist activist Beth Westbrook would be proud.

This just in: Transgender Advocates of Central Texas (TACT) has announced the establishment of The Beth Westbrook Memorial fund, which will raise dough for the group's outreach programs, such as the Transgender Day of Remembrance and workshops for emergency first responders to offer awareness about gender diversity.
The fund has been named after beloved local activist (and Best of Austin winner, Best Blogger, 2004) Beth Westbrook, whose untimely passing four years ago left a big hole in the heart of our community.
According to TACT founding member, Lisa Scheps, "Beth was an incredible force in our community. No one could argue that her heart and soul were not fully vested in raising awareness for transgender and feminist issues in Austin. This is the very least we can do to honor someone who has done so much and one of our founding members."
For more info on the fund and on TACT in general, click on Lisa's name above and email her, or call 877/532-6789 and leave a message. Tell 'em the Gay Place says "Hi!"
