It's going down fast, but don't let it shake you ... Snag a piece of Austin music history this weekend. Just get there.
Margaret Moser's Rock Memorabilia Sale
Margaret Moser has been writing about music for 38 years. Starting with the Austin Sun in 1976 and then with The Austin Chronicle from its inception in 1981 until the present day. She was also the Director of the Austin Music awards for for 32 years. She has decided it's time to down size and share the music memorabilia she has collected over the last four decades with the community. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get a piece of Austin music history! Hundreds of ultra-rare music posters that have not seen the light of day since the 1970s. And hundreds more that span the history of the Austin music scene over the last 40 years. Concert posters and handbills from the early years of Antone’s, Armadillo Head Quarters, Raul’s, Austin Opera House, Manor Downs, and Liberty Lunch. Austin Music Awards posters from nearly every year. Loved and rusty punk rock buttons: Sex Pistols, Ramones, New York Dolls. Hundred of vintage concert shirts and club shirts some pristine and some nicely threadbare and stained to perfection. Concert ticket stubs from the Eighties: Iggy Pop, the Clash, the Stones, Devo. Tons of miscellaneous music and entertainment memorabilia, rock books, and DVD’s. Thousands of CD’s and hundreds of records. Original artwork, and of course, tons of old Chronicle and Austin Sun issues. 13101 Wild Turkey; Sat.-Sun., 10am-5pm
