Austin Estate Sale Round-Up: Jan. 4-5

If NFL championships are not your cup of tea, then set your alarm this weekend, and get out. What better reason to crack that Christmas loot burning a hole in your pocket, than to splurge on a few new-to-you estate treasures? Keep in mind that many sales request that you bring your own paper and boxes and offer no returns. Here are a few to get you started:

Renel Estate Sales

This small house is packed with furniture; kitchenware; brand-name clothing, bags, and scarves; linens; sewing notions and fabrics.

Barton Hills Estate Sale

Gordon O'Neal Estate Sales brings you the following: amethyst champagne flutes, Victorian silver-plate mugs, mid-century modern original oil paintings, hand-crocheted popcorn stitch bedspread, solid oak rocking chair, Murano glass lamp base ca. 1960, swivel love seat, iron-frame cheval mirror – all just the tip of the iceberg.

Central Austin Estate Sale

This sale promises fifty years of books, records, furniture, antiques, collectables, and household items, including a doll collection, chef's kitchen equipment. Very nice lamps, as well.

Westlake Estate Sale

Try this for variety: A solid-body electric mandolin, men's and women's clothing, Konai Explosif-Fixie bike, large collection of Dremel tools, Ryobi band saw, Makita chop saw, electric chain saw, small tools, space heaters, four-person tent and sleeping bag.

The Domain Estate Sale

You can drive the stuff home in a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire or 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer. Also offered: flat-screen TV's, antiques, Bose surround sound system, canopy bed, baker's racks, tons of Williams-Sonoma kitchenware, laptops, washer and dryer, artwork and paintings.

Taylor, TX Antique Estate Sale

Many antique, hand-made furniture items, snow skies and ski equipment, antique sewing machines, vintage couch, old handmade quilts. Vintage clothing for ladies, arts and crafts supplies.
