Cute + Goth = ?

I basically hate pink. When I was pregnant, I refused to find out the gender of my child so that, in the event it was female, I wouldn't be cursed with a cotton-candy explosion in the nursery.

Now that two years have passed, I have a fabulous, high-energy daughter. And I'm tired of fighting. I have flown the white flag/thrown in the towel/surrendered to glitter. Pink won.

She has this full-blown obsession with Cinnamoroll (notice there is no “n”). This is one of Hello Kitty's entourage and even has a group of friends all his own. It's not really my thing, but until she can mouse for herself, my eyes are attacked with images of cuteness. But in our sifting through Google images last night (“I want to see more pictures of Cinnamoroll”), we discovered little Cinna has an evil alter ego!

It's a duo named Lloromannic (Cinnamoroll spelled backward). The halves are named Berry and Cherry. These satanic-tailed creatures have goat horns and bat wings instead of fluffy white ears! Notice the clock goes up to 13. Japan is so freaky!

According to Wikipedia, Cinna will be the star of his own anime movie in fall 2007. Maybe the obsession is rubbing off.
