We had our Best of Austin throwdown at the Long Center the night before the issue came out. It is our tradition to inform our winners of their award the night before. Cutting it so close can get tense. We send out invitations the Friday before, but don't know how many addresses we have wrong until they come back in the mail that Monday.
Erin Collier, the Chronicle's Marketing Director always throws a great party. This year, Curra's, Primzie, Twin Liquors, Tiff's Treats, among others catered and Nakia & His Southern Cousins and the Khabele School Jazz Band delivered on the musical milieu.
