Pulitzer Prize winner to speak on campus

Michael Chabon at UT Next Week

You're going to want to line up for this one early: Michael Chabon, the author of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Wonder Boys, and recent release Telegraph Avenue, will take part in a free conversation on the University of Texas campus on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

L.A. Times book critic David Ulin will speak with Chabon about his new novel – which centers around an Oakland record shop – and his prolific, prize-winning career. The event takes place Oct. 17, 7pm, in the Jessen Auditorium of Homer Rainey Hall.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. Seating is limited. Line forms upon arrival of the first patron, and doors open 30 minutes in advance. A booksigning will follow the talk, with books on sale from BookPeople. There will also be a drawing for a signed book.
