There Better Be Butterbeer on Tap

Gettin' quizzy with Harry Potter

There Better Be Butterbeer on Tap

Intellectualism and trivia bar games don't at first blush seem to have much in common (except, maybe, a bad rap), but the quizmasters at Geeks Who Drink aim to put a shine on both. This weekend, they get quizzy with Harry Potter.

"We've enlisted the Darkest of the Dark and the most heroic of the Aurors to survey the wizarding world, from Hogsmeade to Beauxbatons to Knockturn Alley, in order to put together a comprehensive Harry Potter quiz that would make Nicholas Flamel proud" goes the press release. If you don't know who Nicholas Flamel is, we're betting this probably isn't your scene.

Geeks Who Drink, a national organization, hosts nine quizzes a week in Austin alone. This Saturday (4/17), they're running their first-ever all-ages theme quiz, with a $500 cash prize going to the player or team with the most HP know-how.

$5 enters you in the quiz (most quizzes are free, but Harry's a special case). The festivities go down at Opal Divine's Penn Field location (3601 S. Congress) at 3pm, although you're urged to come early. And yes, lovable Muggle, costumes are encouraged.
