DPS Digs Dope in East Texas
September is already looking like a good month for drug busters with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety who since Thursday have seized approximately 15,000 marijuana plants in one bust and another 3,212 pounds of pot during a traffic stop.

Not a Hate Crime, Definitely Not a Hate Crime
On Sunday, August 30, James Lee Whitehead (aka Niki Hunter) was walking from the gay club The Saint in San Antonio to his apartment and was attacked by three armed assailants. One of the five bullets fired by police struck Whitehead and ended his life.

The Austin Aztex have announced that their Labor Day home finale is Fan Appreciation Night: $15 adults/$12 kids. And youth soccer players who wear a team jersey or Aztex jersey get in free.
