About AIDS
Join an InterACT Care Team
Fri., June 27, 1997
Interfaith AIDS Care Teams (InterACT) provide emotional and practical support for people living with AIDS and for their loved ones. InterACT recruits volunteers from all parts of the community (primarily congregations) to form teams of caregivers. You do not need to be a member of a congregation. You only need to be a person of compassion and caring who wishes to support others in their time of need.
Being a part of a Team allows you to give as much as you can, but without all of the responsibility falling on you or any other one person. The Team approach also ensures the person living with AIDS a wide range of support. The need continues to rise, so please join us to reach out to our brothers and sisters living with AIDS. Make a difference in someone's life!
InterACT's next training is July 10 and July 17, 6-9pm, at Manchaca United Methodist Church. A light meal will be provided both evenings for the trainees. Join us in providing life-affirming care and support for our neighbors living with AIDS. If you are interested in attending or need any other information, please call us at 472-4934. Thanks!
