Every minute some place on the planet, a child dies because of
Vitamin A deficiency. A year's supply of Vitamin A for one child is four
cents.
There are more Muslims in the United States than there are
Presbyterians.
The first bagel was made in 1683 in honor of King Jan Sovretsky of
Poland, who had just saved the people of Austria from Turkish invaders. The
king was a great horseman and the bagel was created to resemble a stirrup. The
Austrian word for stirrup is "beugel."
