Yes, we hate to be the bearer of bad tidings (Don't shoot the messenger!), but this classic VIP of "Best of Austin" is calling it a day in the cake industry, at least here in Austin. Its sister cake maker is still rocking it in San Antonio, but no more local Best Birthday Cakes, Custom Cakes, Cake Decorators, or other such prestigious nods … unless, of course, you want to make that drive down to Alamo City.
