Best Power Couple

John Fitzpatrick and Kristen Vassallo

Austin has a lot of power couples, of diverse vocations, ethnicities, ages, and orientations, but Fitzpatrick (Chamber of Commerce exec and Austin ISD trustee) and Vassallo (city public information officer and former chief-of-staff to Kirk Watson) probably sit closer than any other married couple to the top of the local political food chain. And as far as we're concerned, all constructive dialogue – even pillow talk – between City Hall and AISD is to be encouraged.
