    Million Mile Month With HealthCode

    Million Mile Month is a virtual challenge to complete one million miles of physical activity, together as one global community. All registration levels include the Million Mile Month Challenge, printable race bib, leaderboards, an account on HealthCode’s activity platform, and activity entry tools, and a T-shirt is included at the Gold/Platinum levels. Proceeds from your registration enable schoolchildren and low-income families to participate for free; there is no required fee. Your registration donation is tax-deductible and supports HealthCode, whose mission is to empower people to live healthier, happier lives.

    Sherwood Forest Virtual Faire

    Sherwood Forest Faire sadly had to close prematurely, but fear not: You can return to the faire virtually via their YouTube channel. Each Saturday (beginning March 28) a new episode will be broadcast featuring full performances filmed during the 2020 season. The virtual tip jar will be open as well, so feel free to drop some digital dollars as you enjoy the show.

    Virtual Head for the Cure 5K

    Now a virtual 5K that benefits brain cancer research and programs at Texas Oncology-Austin Brain Tumor Center and the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative. Follow the event on Facebook Live and participate in your own 5K, whether that's running on a treadmill, walking in your neighborhood, going for a swim, riding a bike, or another physical activity following social distancing guidelines. You'll still get your shirt and medal, either by mail or pickup at Texas Running Company. See the event page for details.

    Virtual Vortex: Changelings

    This is a rebroadcast of the Vortex production, filmed by Magic Spoon Productions, of Reina Hardy's "magical tale of a young woman taken by the faeries, and how her revenge shapes an entire family over many generations." Directed by Rudy Ramirez and prefaced with a broadcast premiere of two short plays by Reina Hardy and Sarah Saltwick.

    Virtual ZACH: Every Brilliant Thing

    "This production of Duncan Macmillan's solo show gives audiences a reason to live. Make that a million reasons." So says the Chronicle's Robert Faires in his review right here. Faires got to see the performance live onstage, yes, before this pandemic shut everything down; but now you can also witness the show's power and joy streaming digitally from ZACH's Whisenhunt Theatre, with Kriston Woodreaux bringing you so many reminders of what's still good in this world.

    [POSTPONED] Spring Refresh at the Lemon House

    Postponed until May, perhaps; date TBA. Austin photographer Jessica Arroyo and copywriter Liz Feezor are joining forces for Spring Refresh. Ticket includes a portrait mini-session with Jessica and five edited photos (delivered to you after the event), plus a 25-minute bio review and editing session with Liz. Event is 100% produced and sponsored by Austin women, and is open to all. Ticket must be purchased in advance and event caps at 20 participants.
