    Seventeenth Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

    Children of all ages are invited to hunt for the thousands of eggs hidden around the Huston-Tillotson University campus, including a $500 scholarship prize egg, prize eggs for school supplies and gift certificates, eggs with candy and coins, and filled baskets. Children will gather in the Mary E. Branch Gymnasium for a brief storytime on the meaning of Easter before joining their age groups and beginning the hunt.: Rain date: Mon., April 10, 4pm.

    This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks.
