Led by smooth-crooning frontman Tomar Williams, who produced mid-Aughts Houston rap anthems “Still Tippin’” and “Sittin’ Sidewayz” alongside brother Salih, the FCs debut hit like a Heart Attack with classic tropes poached from Motown and Stax. Support comes courtesy of the band formerly known as Mama K & the Shades, now rebranded as Honey Made, the title of their 2016 debut. The jazz and funk cooked up by the 10-piece remains tasty.
