    Indian Classical Music Circle of Austin presents two legendary flute maestros – Ronu Majumdar, master of the North Indian flute, and Shashank Subramanyam, a virtuoso of the South Indian flute. They will be accompanied by Subhajyoti Guha on the Tabla and R. Sankaranarayanan on the Mridangam.

    Rodeo Austin w/ the Struts

    The poster announces, “Where Weird Meets Western!” and indeed, English glamsters the Struts gallop into the arena behind frontman Luke Spiller, flouncing in his auntie’s nightie amidst the cowboys and bucking broncos. That might go over like Waylon Jennings uncorking “MacArthur Park” at the ROT Rally 25 years ago, but the Brits’ recent Young & Dangerous LP could save the day atop Seventies riffola and remixed duet “Body Talks” with Kesha.
