Let’s face facts. As much as the crowd hates them, every sport needs refs. In 2011, the Texas Rollergirls head into their biggest season ever with their move to the Austin Convention Center (season passes on sale at www.texasrollergirls.org), and now they’re looking for some new referees. All you need are basic skating skills and a willingness to learn the difference between a minor and a major penalty. So if you think you’d look good in black-and-white vertical stripes and you’re available for league practices on Monday and Wednesday evenings, then it could be you getting booed by the crowd next season. Recruitment meeting: Wed., Dec. 15, 7pm. Italo’s, 1600 E. Sixth.
