It’ll be champ versus champ this weekend, when the Hell Marys head down to Houston to face the Psych Ward Sirens.

The Sirens went three-and-one last year in the regular season, before overturning the Bayou City Bosses 107-95 to take the High Rollin’ Roulette Championship last October. They also come into this weekend with a dominating 162-80 victory over the Burlesque Brawlers on March 9. Plus, of course, they have the home-field advantage.

But the Hell Marys are no pushovers. Last season’s TXRG champs may have lost their season opener to the Hotrod Honeys, and had last week’s April event off. But with two of the highest per-game jammers in the league (Lady X and Bloody Mary) plus Derringer and Muffin Tumble, both of whom combine experience and the conditioning to be on-track for just about every jam, the Sirens may be the ones screaming.

The bout starts at 5pm on Sunday, April 13, at the Verizon Wireless Theater, 520 Texas St., Houston. Also rolling will be the Bayou City Bosse$ (who will be hosting the Honky Tonk Heartbreakers on May 18) vs. the Burlesque Brawlers.
