It may be another month until the Texas Rollergirls kick off the 2009 season, but that downtown on the hometrack means extra time for road trips.

That’s why the Texecutioners went out to Lubbock to take on the West Texas Roller Dollz (see Fox Lubbock’s coverage here.) Proving there’s no rink rust on their skates, Austin’s own set a new team points differential record when they handed down a 243-40 defeat to Lubbock (that wasn’t the weekend’s biggest flat track defeat: Over in New Orleans, Houston’s HaRD Knocks beat the Big Easy Rollergirls all-stars 254-45.)

The Texas Rollergirls’ 2009 season kicks off on March 1 (Season tickets available now). Plus, for anyone that wonders what the Lubbock team looks like on the track, they’re scheduled to visit San Antonio’s Alamo City Rollergirls on March 15.
