Just because Halloween is over, that doesn’t mean there’s no more excuses for fancy dress. The Texas Rollergirls are looking for some superheroes and, of course, heroines to join them for KAPOW!, their big season-ending costume party tonight, Sunday Oct. 2nd (villains also welcome).

Bit of a change of location from normal: the event is at the Millenium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave. Tickets are $7, $5 for kids 12 and under or anyone in a costume (includes skate rental). And no excuse for not being in costume: seriously, how long would it take to put together the Quailman or Captain Underpants look?

This’ll be the last opportunity to see TXRG roll before the big flight to Portland, Ore. on Oct. 14 for the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association‘s national championships, the Northwest Knockdown.
