Time to get Dirty Dirty

Big test tomorrow for the Texecutioners. Austin’s own flat track derby travel team, ranked #1 in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association‘s South Central region, take on the #5 ranked The Dirty South Derby Girls from Atlanta.

Both teams have had bouts this year, but with opposite results. Back in March, Atlanta took a 78-128 beat-down, courtesy of Charm City Roller Girls: Before that, the Texecutioners cruised past the West Texas Rollerdollz for a dominating 243-30 victory. That said, before they hit Austin tomorrow night, Atlanta have a trip through The Woodlands, rolling against Houston’s HaRD Knocks travel team. Could that serve as an effective warm-up for the Austin bout? Only one way to find out.

Plus, turn up early for some pre-game scrimmage, courtesy of junior league the Austin Derby Brats.

The action starts Sunday, May 3 at 7pm (doors 6.30pm) at Playland Skate Center (8822 McCann), tickets $12 advance, $15 on the door, or $10 if you buy direct from a skater.
