Ishiro Honda’s seminal kaiju movie is an atomic era nightmare that put the post-Hiroshima psyche of Japan within a sci fi frame. The original Japanese version, devoid of Raymond Burr insert shots, crashes into Austin tonight with a very special Q&A from Gareth Edwards. A SXSW alum for his phenomenal debut feature Monsters, the British director is helming the new adaptation of the original king of the monsters, due out this summer. Will it be too much to hope for that there will be a sneak peek of some footage?
