That it’s Friday afternoon just shy of the work whistle blowing is as good excuse as any to watch internet cat videos, but a new local short aims for something more ambitious.

“Kittywood Studios: Cat Videos Incorporated” exposes the dark underbelly of the videos-of-cute-cats-doing-funny-shit industry (think Keyboard Cat). It’s by Austin filmmaker Joe Nicolosi, who was recently named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film.
