Edward Norton and Leaves of Grass co-star Tim Blake Nelson on the SXSW red carpet

After every SXSW there’s always the discussion about who benefits and who gets any career help. Well, count Edward Norton (whose new intellectual stoner comedy Leaves of Grass premiered at SXSW this year) among those getting a boost.

A nice little series of Tweets from the Fight Club star (and best Bruce Banner ever) on his official Twitter feed yesterday:

Update on LoG: very good news, the film has been picked up by a new company and will be given a much wider summer release.

Details to come but we’re all really happy because now it will likely get to many more cities than just NY and Dallas

This happened very much due to great audience response and reviews and press out of SxSW. So huge thanks to everybody in Austin.

The comedy had been picked up by First Look distribution after the Toronto International Film Festival and was scheduled for a hyper-limited release this coming Friday (it was set to open in Austin on April 9). However, the new mystery distributor should mean a much splashier release around the country.
