By the pricking of our thumbs, something gruesome this way comes. Fans of extreme metal and underground horror will get to warm up before Halloween with the announcement today of the new Death By Festival.

The one-day event (scheduled for Oct. 28 at the North Door) is set to feature a combination of underground films and extreme metal. The organizer are promising a celebration of all that is “dark and grotesque” where the audience will be “immersed in an intimate setting where you will have an encounter unlike anything you’ve experienced before.”

No word yet on the bands, but the fest will be accepting film submissions starting in April.

More details to come at www.deathbyfestival.com and www.facebook.com/DeathByFestival.
