Gov. Perry: Not having a great day.

Not to get too Page Six about this, but who was that dashing governor seen moping out of the front doors of the Lege Monday afternoon?

A despondent and tired-looking Rick Perry, clad in yellow tie and cowboy boots, was seen departing the House at around 5:45pm. Flanked by his security detail, he kicked dishearteningly at the ground with his boot heels and exchanged a few pleasantries with some passing bigwigs before getting in that state-issued vehicle for the two-block drive home.

Is this a sign that negotiations over the transport bills may not be going well? Or maybe he was just disappointed that the vending machines were out of Cheetos again.
