Electric mowers: Not as green as this, but still greener than charging up your sit-on behemoth to do the edging

For those of you interested in making sure your garden is as green as possible, quick reminder: it’s the Central Texas Electric Lawnmower Program exchange event on Saturday.

The program provides a rebate voucher if you trade in your fuel-guzzling, high-polluting gas-powered model for a cleaner electric model (this is, of course, if you’re not hardcore enough to get a hand-push model.) Orders were supposed to be placed by mid-day today, so if you put your reservations in, don’t forget to go pick your nice new electric model up from the Home Depot at 3600 I-35 South, 8.30am-2pm. Check back with them to see when the next event will be, or if there’s any left this time around.
