Al Gore: When you're annoying this many people, you must be doing something right.

Quick reminder for those of you with tickets for tonight at the Frank Erwin Center. Yes, Vice-President Al Gore will be stepping into the house that Jody Conradt built, tonight, to give the live powerpoint presentation of his global warming presentation.

What’s entertaining is the groups that may be turning up to complain. First People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals were after the former president (of the senate) to give up meat (proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that no good deed goes unpunished.) Meanwhile, local free-marketeers the Texas Public Policy Foundation have been frenetically touting to the local media that they have their own climate experts. It is to be presumed that they will be parroting the line from one of the foundation’s policy outlines, that “you wouldn’t know it from Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, but there are many upsides to global warming,” and that it’s all a natural occurrence, so there’s no reason for those silly emissions regulations.

Chronic shall be there. And we shall be taking the bus.
