The second of three planned debates between U.S. Senate hopeful Beto O’Rourke and the incumbent Ted Cruz has been delayed.

The University of Houston, which was to host the town-hall style debate, made the announcement this morning. Cruz is expected to be in Washington, D.C. all weekend aiding the Republican Party’s galloping campaign to confirm the nomination of embattled Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

A third debate is still scheduled for Oct. 16 in San Antonio.
