When we called House Bill 274 – the “loser pays” bill – our bill of the week, we were being satirical. Not so Texans for Lawsuit Reform, who have just announced a party in the legislature.

This straight from their Twitter feed about an hour ago:

Take a guess where that is? Yup, room E2.1002 is the members lounge. Jokes about the owners’ box are already flying.

If you are too busy attending today’s hearing on gerrymandering Travis County out of existence, don’t worry: Maybe if you ask nicely, they’ll save you some cake.

Just FYI, since 2006 TLR and the TLR PAC have contributed $31,982 to Speaker Joe Straus‘ campaigns, and $4,500 to Rep. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, author of HB 274.
