Consider the die cast, the Rubicon crossed, the pooch screwed. As of 5pm Monday, March 10, your municipal candidates – for City Council, Austin Community College board, and the Austin Independent School District board – sealed their respective fates by applying for a spot on the ballot (or failing to do so). At right is a list of the May 10 candidates; while there are no huge surprises, late-filers popped up in Place 1 and in AISD, 21-year-old Trevor Titman and his platform of relaxed bar hours didn’t make the cut in Place 3, and over at ACC, the incumbent board chair decided not to run.
