Krusee: Farewell, old file photo, we shall probably never need to run you again ...

With Diana Maldonado having already taken over his old House District 52 seat, Mike Krusee has now put another piece of old business behind him. This morning it was announced that the DWI charge he faced has been dropped for lack of evidence.

Krusee was arrested for DWI in April, then (amidst some contrversy) the video of his arrest was withheld from public release. But while Williamson County Attorney Jana Duty has said that the arresting officer had good grounds to make the arrest, the “evidence is insufficient to sustain a conviction by jury.”

Since he announced last that he was standing down last November, Krusee has been very low profile. He was last heard about talking up toll roads to the Utah legislature in August.
