Ya gotta be in it to win it: Thursday marked the opening of filing season for the 2010 primaries and the first wave of Travis County hopefuls and returning candidates submitted their paperwork for a place on the starting line. Lot of names still yet to file on both sides of the aisle. Amongst Democrats, it’s mostly incumbents. As for wannabe Republican challengers Holly White Turner and Paul Workman are both still seemingly looking at a primary fight in Democratic Rep. Valinda Bolton‘s House District 47, while sports radio talking head/GOPAC-TX member Dan Neil and Bush documentarian Glenn Bass have said they want to challenge Howard. So far, none of their names are on the list of confirmed filings supplied by the Republican Party of Texas.
