Green builders, remodelers and DIY’ers, get out your calendar: The City of Austin has announced its last one-day Green by Design Workshop of the year. It will be held Saturday, October 27 (very fittingly) at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center. There you’ll spend the day with the city’s Green Building Program staff and local green building experts, getting instruction on how to improve water and energy efficiency.

The $35 per person fee includes a free workbook, plus breakfast, lunch and snacks. There’s even green door prizes. The city advises booking now, because these things sell out fast (anyone hoping to make the August 11 session at The Crossings who hasn’t already booked is out of luck.) All applications and payments must be received by Wednesday, October 24, and you can download the form at their website.
