The totals for the first three days of in-person and mail-in early voting in the Nov. 3 Constitutional Amendment Election are in for Travis County, and it makes for pretty grim reading. Care to see the full results?

Votes cast 2009 2007 2005 2003
Day 1* 556 881 3,607 1,125
Day 2* 822 1,043 3,720 1,349
Day 3* 746 1,233 3,743 0
Mail-in 181 97 106 15
Total 2,305 3,254 11,176 2,489

So far, in-person turnout has plummeted compared to the same elections in 2007, and is less than a fifth of the 2005 turnout. More votes were cast by this point in 2003, and that year the polls were closed for one day.
