Emilee Burton (amongst others): Out for fire survivors.

Late addition to our new Res Publica handy-dandy weekly guide to civic events: After the big fire on S. Lamar last Sunday, in which 38 residents lost their homes, the arts community has already mobilized to help get them back on their feet. Synergy Entertainment is hosting a Survivor’s Benefit tomorrow (Sunday August 3) at The Retreat at Barton Creek (3816 S. Lamar.) It runs from 11am through to 9pm: Artists confirmed so far include Emilee Burton, Liane “Little Eye”, Mars Parker and the Hi-Fi Circus Act, Soul Kitchen, and The Little Elmore Reed Blues Band. Minimum $5 donation recommended.
