Since last night, Capital Metro has grown a little more confident in its statements about the strike ending, confirming that even though a full vote has yet to be taken, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1091 members will definitely be back on Monday. However, the reduced weekend service stands. Here’s the press release:

Capital Metro is pleased that StarTran and ATU Local 1091 have reached a tentative agreement. The Union has agreed to return to work on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 for full service.

This weekend, Capital Metro is still operating on a reduced level of service, from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. No fares will be charged this weekend.

Capital MetroAccess (formerly Special Transit Service) for passengers with disabilities is operating at its full service level from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. this weekend.

As for what the terms of this new agreement are, no word yet.
