Halloween on a Friday? The Sixth Street madness will be mutiplied tonight, so Austin Police Department has issued its normal instructions on how it will handle crowd control.
The area will be sealed off to vehicles from 6pm between I-35 and Brazos, and vehicles will be towed. No real weapons (“costume accessories” must be made out of something soft), no open liquor containers, and unaccompanied kids under 17 must leave by 11pm.
Of course, the real fun will be at 9pm at the corner of Fourth and Colorado, where Citizens Against Forced Blood Withdrawals will be dressing as vampire cops for a media event protesting the city’s “No Refusal” anti-drink-driving experiment.
