We still have enough warm weather ahead that a nice chilled bottle of rosé should entice all of us.

Every great winemaking area in the world makes a rosé, but there are only a few places that specialize in them. One of the best is the area near the Mediterranean Sea and the French countryside – from Provence to the Riviera. Among the great rosé wines from the Riviera is Studio by Miraval, operated by Brad Pitt and the Perrin family. This is a delicious combination of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Tibouren grapes.

The color is a gorgeous light pink, and the delightful red berry aromas and tongue-tickling acidity work magic with grilled Gulf seafood. If you have a picnic coming up and you’re planning a Mexican-style seafood taco spread, I can think of very few wines that would pair better. This is also a wine that goes beautifully with grilled pork tenderloin and chimichurri sauce, or any pasta with pesto.

It’s a bottle we look forward to every year and it doesn’t last long in our household. Studio by Miraval rosé is a perfect solution for getting past the end of the summer heat fatigue. You can find it for around $17.
