Veramonte is reflective of a lot of what we are seeing from South American wineries. First of all, they are full believers in using only organic fruit. In fact, the quality of their Pinot Noir grapes is a primary reason the Veramonte Pinot Noir is so luscious.

Winemaker Rodrigo Soto is very careful in his use of oak, preferring the restrained use of barrels old enough to be completely neutral.

Add it all up and you have a beautiful expression of what classic Pinot Noir should taste like, full of red berry flavors along with a velvety mouthfeel, finished with a floral smell in the after-aromas. Lovely stuff, especially at the ridiculously low price of $10.99 per bottle.
