Just in time to herald all the good eating that comes with the holiday season, local artist Dale Whistler installed a giant roast turkey atop the iconic “fork in the road” outside the original Hyde Park Bar & Grill this morning.
The turkey is but the latest of the whimsical sculpture installations Whistler has created to decorate the fork sign outside the restaurant since the mid- Eighties. Previous installations have included a chocolate dipped heart, longhorn horns, a globe, and a tomato. Whistler is also the artist responsible for the Hyde Park Gym‘s bicep. The perfect roast on his latest sculpture should certainly whet some appetites for Thanksgiving dinner (or impromptu selfies).
