Think you like food trailers? Think you can practically live off them for 30 days? Starting today, we’re offering truckstoppers the chance to truly prove their prowess.
June 14 marks the first full day of the first annual Austin Chronicle Food Trailer Challenge, a competition that charges contestants with collecting stamps from 27 different food trucks around the city.
You collect the stamps for each food truck simply by eating there. Those who collect 20 get entered into a grand prize drawing for two 3-day passes to this October’s Austin City Limits Music Festival. Other prizes include dinners at local restaurants, movie passes, and more. Those who collect all 27 get their name entered into the drawing twice.
You can pick up an entry form in the pages of this week’s Chronicle or print one out right here. The competition runs from today through July 14; stamp sheets sent to the Chronicle must be postmarked by that date. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received, of course. We promise to draw the winning card at random.
A list of participating food trucks runs below. I’ve personally eaten at six of them and can vouch for each one on that list. Get your gastronomical engines ready.
