For a warm Austin night, you can never go wrong with a sparkling rosé. The versatile wines go great with a variety of summer staples – from grilled fish to melon and chicken. Alone, they are the perfect after work sip on a patio.

But prices go all over the place, starting at around $8 and rising all the way up to $300. The lowest price recommendable is from Spanish masters Segura Viudas ($8-10). The flavors are simple and straightforward, which is good in this price range. From New Mexico, Gruet Rosé ($15) sweeps the marketplace for anything under $20.

Moving up the price range, we move to France, home of the greatest sparkling wines. Lucien Albrecht‘s rosé ($24) is a dependable recommendation with its startling acidity and cherry and strawberry aromas. Moët et Chandon Imperial rosé ($60) is a real treat with abundant fine bubbles and fruit flavors.

One percenters can look for a rare bottle of Dom Ruinart vintage rosé ($250), which is about as good as you can get for any price. As for the rest of us? There’s bound to be something in your garage you can sell on eBay.
