After one month as the new promotions manager, I am officially hooked. I can’t get enough of all the content, energy and opportunities oozing from the pages the Austin Chronicle.
The non-stop month of October has been a perfect example of a whirl-wind month in Austin, with more happenings than I think we all know what to do with. As my promotions team and I attempt to scratch the surface of the overwhelming amount of news, culture and entertainment represented in the pages of our paper, I am coming to terms with the challenge at hand.
The Chrontourage can’t be at every single concert, festival, restaurant, movie or sporting event we love, but we can certainly try! And we have you, our readers, in mind when we share a wildly diverse and eclectic selection of opportunities for fun and mischief around Austin. We also think of our readers as our extended Chrontourage, and hope you will join our posse out on the town!
Last nights sold out Paper Cuts (the Chronicle’s monthly live music series) at the Palm Door is a perfect example of what we are all about. Free booze flowed and local food was munched as a local band rocked a crowd of new and old fans. Such a great event leaves little room for excuses to not go out on a Tuesday night. Keep your eye out for the next Paper Cuts in November!
The last month was a blast and I am really looking forward to the next. Catch us this weekend at Zombie Ball and next at Fun Fun Fun Fest! Stay up-to-date on our weekly event picks and appearances with our newsletter and keep us posted on where YOU are on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Thanks for your support, see you out there! -Noel
